The owner of this socket used an adaptor to plug in a fridge, a freezer, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

The resultant load was too much for the adaptor, which melted, and in the process started to burn the face of the socket.

If you are relying on adaptors and extension leads it is probably a sign that you require additional sockets.

Be safe and don't overload.
